Sorry for the delay on this item. It is an Asian item but I found it in sculptures and did not see it before. Its an Chinese temple entrance frame. It was used to decorate the entrance of a temple. The dragon is protecting the people inside and are therefor guards. The red paint has residu of gilding. I believe its made first half 20th century, this is called the Republic period. Objects are already collected from this era and prices of good Chinese art is going up all the time. You can sell this is a local auction house with prescription to Invaluable, live auctioneers or other international platform. Shipping could be a problem but the auction house need to take care of that ( It is likely a Chinese customer will buy ).
