A round Chinese lidded box in the cinnabar style, however from the images, this appears to be molded polyresin and not genuine cinnabar. The symbol on the front is Chun for Spring. This theme has been made since the 19th century and copied by mold in the 20th century. It is recommended to have this inspected/tested in person to determine if it is true cinnabar. Usually a genuine cinnabar Chun box would be signed. Signed, 19th century authentic round Chun boxes sell for $1000 - $4000 at auction. Molded polyresin, which this appears to be, sells for significantly less.
INSIDE IS BLACK WITH NO MARK ANYWHERE BUT VERY GOOD CONTITION
