Hi Jonah,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
There is a lot of cut crystal on the market these days and while Waterford is one of the best brands (and still pricey to buy retail/new), it brings comparatively little to what it would have been worth when it was new.
Other Waterford Lismore cut crystal vases of the same size and condition are bringing less than $100 when sold individually at auction, and more usually close to $50.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A vintage Lismore cut crystal vase
attributed to Waterford, Ireland, circa 1970s or 1980s
Of circular section and flaring form, the body with cut ridges over a cross-hatched bowl, on a domed foot with ray
10 inches high; greatest diameter 6-1/2 inches (top)
CONDITION: Lacking Waterford foil label. This vase appears to be in good condition; value assumes no chips, breaks, repairs or losses.
PROVENANCE: Inherited
$40-60*
*represents a fair-market value for auction purposes; retail or asking price may vary.
Please let us know if you have additional items to appraise, or questions/concerns, and thank you again for using Mearto.
