This is an antique, mid 19th century, four drawer dresser or bow front chest that is done with bookmatched African flame or crotch mahogany veneer. The cast and gilded metal escutcheons and drawer pulls are done in a French Rococo Revival manner. The front feet are ball or bun form and the two back feet are bracketed.
