Thanks for the additional photos, Christina.
This looks like veneer to me and I've appraised it accordingly. If this is solid stone, please let me know so I can amend this ASAP.

I’m wondering why there’s such a big difference in appraised price and what it was sold online for? https://www.1stdibs.com/furniture/storage-case-pieces/credenzas/maitland-smith-tessellated-coral-credenza/id-f_856421/

The values Mearto provides are fair-market, for auction purposes, and based on what comparable items have sold for at auction in the past few years.
1stDibs (and Chairish, etc) are RETAIL websites (sellers often buy at auction and then mark things up). The standard industry conversion rate from a retail value / selling price to an auction estimate is the low estimate is 1/3 the asking price while the high estimate is 1/2 the asking price.
Another way to explain the difference is to draw an analogy between buying a piece of clothing at, say Bloomingdales or Macy's (retail) and finding the same (albeit slightly used) item at Goodwill (auction).
Basically, in paying the seller's markup, you are paying for their expertise.
Does that make sense? Let me know if you still have questions.

Do you have a similar item and want to know how much it’s worth?

Communicate directly with a qualified specialist and get a fair market valuation of your item, typically in 48 hours or less.
