The presented object appears to be a Roman mortar with measurements of 25 x 18 cm. Such mortars are dated from the 1st to the 3rd century AD. It was probably made out of Italian Marble and comes with two thumb-formed pestles
Comparable objects were recently offered and sold on the international auction market.
This piece is in good condition and no severe damage is visible in the images provided.
