Hi Andrea,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
I'm not aware of a line by Baker that was this elaborate; unfortunately, with just one chair, there would likely be
a limited market. the condition also looks to be stripped or sunfaded.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A Georgian style carved fruitwood lolling armchair
unattributed maker, possibly Baker, mid 20th Century
With arched crest, the back flanked by serpentine arms carved with eagles heads, raised on acanthus carved serpentine supports, the cabriole legs headed by lion's heads and terminating in paw feet; upholstered in a high-end upholstery fabric.
overall height 43 inches; seat height 18 inches; width 27 inches at front
CONDITION: reupolstered twice; with repairs to eagle and lion heads; sunfaded and surface possibly stripped.
PROVENANCE: acquired from Greenbaum Interiors in 1983,
$500-800*

That would be helpful, thank you so much.
The original design firm where we purchased the chair said this may have been a Baker reproduction but not sure and is. I longer being made so it would be hard to tell if it’s not marked. Also, she said the wood could very well be Mahogany but it has a scrubbed finish so it is difficult to tell. She suggested $1500 would be a fair sale price if I was to sell it. There some work/repair on the serpent mouth and the lions nose. They quoted $175 to repair.
I can't tell if you've listed this for sale or not. Are you proceeding with the restoration (I would hesitate to list it for sale or revising the asking price until that's been done). Once it's been fixed, I'd be fine with increasing the asking price to $1500. Let me know how you'd like me to proceed.
Hello! I cannot travel to get it repaired at this time. I was just noting that the interior design firm offered to repair for $175. I will be listing for $1500. I had someone on eBay offer $1500 a few months ago but lost them as they were in Paris and I couldn’t ship that far due to concern for damage in transit..
I've changed the listing price.
can you please fix the download as its showing the online photo of the vatican chair not mine.
I only see photos of your chair - looks like you were able to fix it yourself? If you still need us to do something, please let me know.
Yes all set! I did fix it..
I wanted to be sure these were still in the market for sale?
I can see that this listing is still public but I can't see if it's still marked "for sale." If you haven't changed anything with the status, then it should be.
Not stripped. This is a white washed finish or a wax finish. I’ll get more details from the designer
