McCoy Pottery was founded by James W. McCoy in 1899 in Roseville, Ohio, a major hub for American pottery production due to its clay-rich soil and access to railroads. It initially produced functional stoneware such as crocks and jars. From the 1930s-60s, McCoy Pottery hits its peak popularity with colorful, decorative pieces widely sold in department stores, including planters, cookie jars and other homewares, such as the pie pan you have.
McCoy was produced in such quantity in the mid 20th Century that there is a fair amount of it on the market and MOST McCoy pieces rarely sell at auction for more than $30; your pie pan - with it's celadon green crackle glaze - is a bit better than most and has a value at auction of $30-50
