Dear Steve,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The presented object appears to be a small-sized bronze with the measurements of 8 inches height. The bronze depicts a man playing the Lute or violin. The haircut, the facial features, and the Lute are a hint that this is not Mendelssohn. The bronze is not signed and was made in the second half of the 20th century.
This piece is in medium condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 40 to 80 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.
With kind regards,
Georg
