This is an illustrated manuscript leaf depicting the Annunciation to the Virgin. My best information is that it's mid 15th c. French. It's on vellum with foliate designs and gold leaf details. There are hand written 'penned in' notes at the bottom. It's in a beautiful gold leaf frame. It was inherited from my Father, Harry Bober, a noted NYU Medievalist, in 1988
