Any update please.

Dear Tom,
Thank you and I hope you have a good start in the week too. The presented object is a soapstone figurine with the measurements of H 12", W 16", D 16". It depicts a female polar bear playing with its cub. This figurine, the motif, and the material stand in the tradition of the native tribes of the Polar region. At the bottom area of the figurine, we can read the signature "Ringleton" and a (19)96. Sadly no further information regarding the biography of this artist is mentioned in reference books or similar databases.
This piece is in good condition and there are no serious damages visible.
An estimation would be between 200 to 400 USD.
This estimation is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
With best regards,
Georg
