This set of pink parrot figurines is made of hand blown glass by the renowned brand Murano (Venice, Italy). They are in perfect condition. My grandmother bought them in the late 80s-early 90s.

Hi Jason,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
Murano - the island off Venice, Italy - has been a center of glass production for centuries. It is the home for hundreds of glassmakers - including multi-generational glassworking families - working in different studios under different names. As an appraiser, I've worked with Murano glass for nearly 20 years and usually these are signed by the maker, or have the label of the glassmaking studio they were made in.
Several different studios were making these gilt-flecked colored parrots (and other animals); if you look closely at the bottom you will probably see a name scratched into the base. If you can tell me the name on the bottom of these birds, that will help narrow the value down (or potentially increase the value) as they could be worth as little as $100 for the pair, to as much as $1,000 or more, depending on the maker.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A pair of vintage Murano pink and gilt glass parrots
late 20th Century
14 inches tall
CONDITION: These appear to be in good condition
PROVENANCE: Inherited
$100-1,000* (pending additional information)
