CALGARY ALBERTA AUCTION
The appraised work is a colored Sommerso glass decorative vase likely from Murano. The vase exhibits a tall, tapering blue form with an exaggerated, undulating rim that transitions to a soft yellow hue. The organic top form is reminiscent of waves and gives the piece an added drama and visual interest. The vase does not appear to be signed or inscribed. The estimate provided is based on comparables recently offered and sold at auction. The subject work’s size, complexity, and condition (based on photographs provided), were taken into consideration when determining the estimate. In many cases, pricing for similar examples available on the primary (retail) market vary, and are often higher than secondary (auction) market examples.
Thier is no markings on bottom this is way I need appraisal .
Thank you! I will update the appraisal shortly.
Wondering who made it and what year made?
Since the vase does not appear signed anywhere, I'm unable to determine the artist or even workshop. Based on the design and color(s), I would date it to the latter portion of the 20th century, possibly the late 1960s or 1970s.
Ok thanks
