When clearing my grandparents house I found a matching pair of pink Murano hand blown “bubble” vases, with original factory (AC) stickers in both. Both in excellent condition like new, found wrapped in shop brown paper.

Hi Anna,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
This pair of vases is interesting, for several reasons. Firstly, it's a style widely believed to have been originally designed by Bo Borgström for Aseda Sweden, a Swedish home furnishings company. Secondly, the 'AC" initials on the circular Gallo or Rooster foil label have not been definitively identified, though there is some speculation they refer to either Nason & Moretti, or AVEM.
There is no widely known record of Borgström working in Murano, Italy; his known contributions were mainly in Scandinavian glass design during the 1950s–1970s. It's likely these were inspired by Borgström but not, in fact, made by him.
While I can't find another identical pair having been sold at auction, related examples typically bring US$700-1,000 (£550-£800) when sold at auction.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A pair of vintage Murano iridescent pink glass "bubble" vases,
Attributed to Nason & Moretti or AVEM, Murano, Italy, 1960s-70s
Of circular section and segmented cylindrical form, on a clear circular base marked with a circular Rooster Murano foil label.
27 cm (10-5/8 inches) high, 6.5 cm (2-1/2 inches) diameter of base
CONDITION: This pair of vases appears to be in good condition; value assumes no chips, breaks, repairs or losses.
PROVENANCE: Inherited
