Purchased in 1966 12 inch tall...believed to be a Quetzal bird
Purchased in Canada
Hi Judi,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
I've seen this model described as a pheasant, or without a specific species designation and never as a quetzal bird. To err on the side of caution, "bird" is sufficient for the market.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A vintage Murano hand-blown glass bird
Made in Murano, Italy, mid 20th Century
The bird with clear comb, amberina neck and body, and blue/green tail.
12 inches high
PROVENANCE: purchased in Canada in 1966
$100-150*
