Dear Steven,
Thank you for choosing Mearto for appraisal. Your vase is Venetian glass and appears to be in good condition with no visible chips or cracks. It was most likely made in the mid 20th century and is handblown out of amber-colored glass. Unfortunately, the signature on the base is illegible so the exact maker cannot be identified. Glass has been made in Venice since the Roman Times. In the late 13th century the city of Venice relocated all of the glassmakers to the island of Murano. The island is full of glass factories of all sizes and even is home to an academy of glass. Based on recent price realizations a fair market value for your vase would be between 150-200 US dollars. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Best Regards,
Morgan
