This is a very nice potpurri with cover. The porcelain mark "M. Imple de Sèvres" refers to a designation found on certain Sèvres porcelain pieces. It is a shortened form of "Manufacture Impériale de Sèvres," indicating that the piece was produced at the Sèvres Porcelain Manufactory during the time when it was under imperial patronage. It specifically dates to the period when the factory was under the patronage of Napoleon I (1804–1815) or Napoleon III (1852–1870), during which it was referred to as the Imperial Manufactory.

An antique Napoleonic period Sèvres porcelain and ormolu lidded potpurri
French, 19th Century
The detachable lid with eagle and gilt rinceaux shaped scrolled floral and foliate elements, the pierced rim with attached chased intertwined snakes handles, the body with a central eagle below three stars, framed in a berried laurel wreath and branches on one side, the other side with the Napoleon N below a crown, also framed within laurel branches, on a circular foot on black marble socle. Marked to the underside "M. Imple de Sèvres".
