There are 4 wood chairs. The wood is in good condition. The back and seat have embroidery. It is in mixed condition. The feet are cabriole style. The backs have a central wood 'button' that is missing in 2(?) of the chairs.
They were my grandmothers and she had them in Greece. They could be from any time-- I do not know if they are a modern version or older.
Good afternoon, Katina,
Thank you for submitting photographs for appraisal at Mearto.
You have a set of four Continental (possibly walnut) Neoclassical style side chairs, probably made in the first quarter of the 20th Century (1900-1925).
There is little market demand for this style and period at present. If the chairs are stable, there is no reason you can not continue to use them. They are not worth restoring or repairing.
I hope this information has been helpful to you. Please let us know if you have additional questions, and thank you again for using Mearto.
