Launched surrounding the hype of NBA All-Star Weekend in 2012 in Orlando, where Penny Hardway spent his career, this signature model was met with massive hype. Featuring purple galaxy print and glow in the dark outsoles, the Galaxy colorway is the perhaps the most important Foamposite to release.
The mania around these sneakers has cooled quite a bit since 2012, when you and your brother listed this pair on eBay and got bidders to get to nearly $97,000 before eBay yanked the sale. Sotheby's sold three pairs of Foamposites - include one pair of NRG Galaxy sneakers - for €1,905 last fall, and a pair is currently listed on Ebay for $1550; another pair is listed on StockX for $1,040.
