Hello Denise,

I’m very glad that you chose Mearto for your online appraisal,

Considering the photographs, overall pattern, porcelain quality and the colours, I concluded that this is a Japanese Noritake Stoneware Dinner and Tea Set. The set dates back to the period from 1972 to 1977. The piece was created under the pattern name of "Malabar 8308". This patterns were known for their dark blue and green tones on the stoneware. Their classical style and simplistic shape are signature aspects of the design. The set is composed of the following pieces: 8 dinner plates, 8 cake plates, 8 saucers, 1 platter, 1 tea pot, 1 milk jug, 1 sugar bowl, 1 serving bowl, 12 cups, salt and pepper shakers. The set is composed of a total of 44 pieces. There is one chipped tea cup, there is a chip to it's rim area. The tea set is in dark blue colour while the dinner set is in dark green tones. The piece is otherwise in good condition without any significant faults or signes of use and age.
