Hi David,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
Noritake was one of the most popular names for dinnerware in the mid 20th Century; not only was it handsome and serviceable but it was also comparatively affordable. Increasingly few people today, however, entertain in such a formal way and the market is saturated with services of varying sizes, colors, etc. Because there is less demand than supply, fair-market / auction prices for Noritake remain low, typically bringing $3-5 PER PIECE.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A vintage 96 piece Noritake parcel gilt porcelain part dinner service
unattributed pattern (cream border with floral and gilt decoration), bearing the Morimura M mark in use from the 1930s, comprising:
12 dinner plates
10 dessert/salad plates
10 sandwich plates
10 bread plates
12 cups with 12 saucers
12 double-handled cups
12 finger bowls
1 serving platter
1 covered vegetable dish
1 uncovered serving bowl
1 gravy boat
1 cream pitcher
and 1 sugar bowl
DIMENSIONS: various
CONDITION: reported to be very good
PROVENANCE: Inherited
$300-500 for the set*

I wasn't certain if I got the piece count correct so please let me know if it needs to be changed in any way.
