Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be a mexican folk art statue, either depicting jesus or an angel, with the wings missing. Judging from the simple robe, I would strongly suggest it represents Jesus. Such statues can be found in Mexico and Peru. The execution is rather naive and simple, the carved wood is covered with gesso and painted, the paint flaking off in parts. The plinth is also of simple construction and matches the figurine. Production date should be first half 20th century. The estimate is based on similar statues offered or sold at auction. There is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to it.
