Very old inherited original oil painting. Artist signature is hard to read.
Inherited
This is an antique, late 19th to early 20th century, framed oil on canvas painting of a winter landscape showing evergreen trees with snow covered ground along a creek or river. The painting is signed at lower left and appears to be E or C. Cutler. Checking against all known listed artists with the last name Culter, there is not a distinctive style nor signature match. This *could* possibly be by Elda Durham Cutler (1864-1944) who painted in Oregon, California and Illinois. However this is not a definitive authentication, just a potential attribution. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary.
25 1/2" wide by 19 1/2" in height.

What is the size of the painting and please add more images of the signature from different angles, best to do so in natural lighting.
