These come up at auction somewhat regularly, if infrequently. Usually, they bring prices ranging from 400-600 though yours is a particularly nice example.

The buffalo head was found in a drained slew ( swamp/bog) in Winnebago county in Minnesota.
My uncle found it in the 1960s
