The presented object appears to be a Japanese Katana sword from the WWII period. The handle was changed and wrapped with a new textile. The characteristic of the katanas in use of the Japanese Army is the European scabbard with the ring.
This piece is in medium condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 300 to 500 USD.
