Luther auction house
Dear Bradley,
Thank you for your request. The presented objects are two lamps made in the 20th century on gas-driven the other is a petrol lamp. One is stamped "Yale Style Light Co Chicago". The second lamp has an unreadable company name on its top. Both lamps are in very bad condition.
An estimation would be under 5 USD.
This estimation is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
With best regards,
Georg
Dear Bradley,
I am sorry that you are not happy with the appraisal but I don´t see any chance for an estimate like this in this bad condition. I contact the back office regarding the refound.
With kind regards,
Georg

Your appraisal of 1-5 dollars could have cost me 1000s of dollars on my Yale lamp. With the same pictures it was determined it was a rare early Coleman. I could have understood if you were off by a couple hundred but not by 1200 dollars. This just shows me that you didn’t research this, I wasn’t looking for your opinion I wanted facts. As an expert in this I feel this makes me lose trust in this company and I want my 25 dollars back.
