I contacted a colleague and he said that this is a vintage Turkish rug from Anatolia, possibly a Yahyali. This is based on the high wool pile of the rug, the color scheme and general design, suggest that the aforementioned is the origin. This rug has a good "look" and would be sought after for modern homes. it's value lies in it's decorative aesthetic and less in historical significance. The estimate is based on recent auction records of comparable items.
