This is a later 20th century plaster ceramic re-cast of a well-known early 19th century Gothic style parian-ware jug, or pitcher that was designed in England in 1842 by Charles Meigh known as "The Saints Jug". Yours was made in the 1970s by creating a plaster cast of the original 1842 jug and re-making a version in ceramic. The estimate is based on actual past recorded auction sales of comparables
