This is a detailed circular tray with minarets, Arabic writing, and figures and animals throughout. Everything is sharp, but it is 19th century. The area could be brighter and cleaner, as there is still quite a bit of dust embedded on the surface. But I think it is important not to go too far. The table base is made of iron and is 10 inches high.

Hi Delia!
I will post the photos of the base. I will also ask the jeweler again about the age. Then we can compare notes. Look out for a bracelet I am uploaded that I purchased from him a few weeks ago. My question about it is does a keepsake piece of memorabilia surpass the intrinsic value of a piece when it is rare or unique?
Thanks,
See you!
Thanks! I wouldn't appraise the bracelet - one of our gemologist / jewelry appraisers would do that - but I'm happy to weigh in on the issue of intrinsic value for memorabilia with a little more info - talk soon!
OK. I added the base to the photos.
Hello Delia!
Here are the comps from the area I sell in primarily. I think mine is nicer...more detailed artwork. Not as spruced up, but that's an individual's preference, right?
and one more...

I didn't realize you sold on 1stDibs - that's great and yes, I do think yours is better. :)
With my values in line with what others are bringing at auction (rather than in the retail sphere), I could easily see this selling for 3x the low estimate or 2x the high estimate - or about $2,000 since the comparatively high-relief of the decoration makes it hard to use as a table unless one puts a glass top on it.
OK. That sounds reasonable. I will try the lower retail price and see if that works without making others on the site look askance at me. LOL
Delia:
You have the most insightful information. You just gave me the most wonderful idea. The relief is low on the face of the piece and there is a sort of ledge around the piece that I think could accommodate a piece of customized glass to cover and protect the beautiful design. That, is a selling point. Thank you!
And if I were in the LA area, I would buy it from you in a minute!
:)
OK, Will do. Thank you...
