Blenko Glass Company was founded in 1893 and has been headquartered in Milton WV since 1921. Blenko began as a company that produced sheet and stained glass. By the 1950s, the company transitioned into producing more modern art pieces. The estimate provided is based on comparables recently offered and sold at auction. In many cases, pricing for similar examples available on the primary (retail) market vary, and are often higher than secondary (auction) market examples. The appraised work’s size and more complex design were taken into consideration in establishing the above estimate.
