Painted picture from 1935
Found it at a resale shop.
Dear Loretta,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. My sincere and polite apologies for the delay with the appraisal.
The presented object appears to be highly possible a chromolithograph print on cardboard with the measurements of 17"×15". The print depicts a girl grabbing a grape with her hand in a living room with a model ship in the background. This print was probably made around 1900 or shortly later regarding the style of the dress and the furniture. There is an ink handwriting on the reverse side which is sadly not clearly readable. Regarding the readable part, this was a gift to Kla(ra) Guggenberger in the year 1935. This writing was made after the making of the print.
This piece is sadly in bad condition and there are serious damages visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be because of the condition sadly just between 10 to 20 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.
With kind regards,
George
The picture and frame measurements are 17"×15"
