I found a Karl Ernst (1866-1950) on this website (https://second.wiki/wiki/sohlern_adelsgeschlecht) who was a Baron Sohlern and noted to be a landscape painter but there is no listed artist by that name and no mention of still life painting or examples of his works so I did not put that in the appraisal as it's a bit of a shot in the dark.
The value is based on its relation to other works of comparable size, age, quality and subject matter.
