Dear Kristen,
Thank you for your patience and my sincere apologies for the delay with the appraisal.
The presented object appears to be a painting made in oil or paint on cardboard with the measurements of 25 1/2 x 17 1/2 inches. The painting depicts a rural scene with a farmhouse. It is signed "G. Jennings". There is an artist known William George JENNINGS (1763-1854) who was sold and offered in a low number on the auction market the last years. Comparable paintings in a similar style were identified as works of William George JENNINGS (1763-1854). I have the suspicion this painting was not made in the middle of the 19th century. The style and the frame are a hint that this piece was made in the 20th century by a painter who mainly painted in a fast and decorative style. This was common in the 20th century. G or George and the last name Jennings are additionally and not rare names in Great Britain.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 100 to 200 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.
With kind regards,
Georg
