Dear Kristal,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. So that I may best assist you, can you please give me some background information as what you bought this piece. Was is described as an unknown artist and is it signed or monogrammed?
With kind regards,

Dear Kristal,
Thank you for the additional information and your patience. The presented object is a painting made in oil or acrylic paint on canvas with the measurements of 34 x 24 inches. The painting depicts a sitting person who reads a text or book. The motif is defragmented into colorful brush strokes and differential colored areas. We see no monogram or signature to identify the artist. Also, there is no artist who can be attributed because of style or motif. This piece was made in the last third of the 20th century.
This piece is in good condition and there are no serious damages visible.
An estimation would be between 200 to 400 USD.
This estimation is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
With kind regards,
Georg
This was purchased in a local art lot at auction in the mid 90’s. There were valuable pieces in this lot from skinners including a metal sculpture from Jose Gonzales and many many others. This has been waiting since I have no signatures and was unable to verify the painting. They lot contained late 1800 to early 1900 pieces from all over including Spain and England . That’s all I have to offer . Thank you
