What does this mean?

Hi Susan,
Thank you for submitting photos to Mearto for appraisal. These appear to be English provincial side chairs, probably from the mid-19th century. It's difficult to tell from the photograph how much wear there is to the feet but the caning looks generally fairly intact, possibly replaced. Sadly, not much value on the market today but perfectly usable.
Please let us know if you have any questions, and thanks again for using Mearto.
