Lisa,
Were these candle holders acquired at Horchow's as well? I am happy to provide auction comparables for any item I've appraised to give you greater peace of mind.
Thanks to advise,
Delia
Yes they were. In 2002 as well. We are a business who sells online on several platforms globally and sometimes we need to reach out for appraisals to get a better idea on the item and make sure we are pricing accurately.
Understood and I'll amend this, though the auction pricing is still in line with current auction results. There are different types of appraisals - Mearto ONLY offers fair-market appraisals, which are typically 1/2- 1/4 the values of insurance or retail replacement values.
Thank you Delia. Would you like for me to scan in what I have from Horchow? If so, where can I email it?
You'd need to attach it here as a photo document but I don't need it and am happy to take your word for it.
What another disappointment!!! Should have just used Horchow's info for Delia with Mearto once again gave us nothing more than what we already stated. Wow! It appears this company is not very familiar with antiques and think we should be reimbursed for the two appraisals done by Delia that we submitted.
