This oil painting appears to be by the contemporary Dutch artist called Peter van Berkel (b.1956). This is a "romantic" landscape painting of two Dutch farms on the banks of a small river. It is signed "PJ Berkel" on the lower right edge. Sight 20" h x 24" w. It is housed in a beautiful intricate gilt frame, and it appears to be in good condition overall.

This artist is very active today, and his paintings can be found in galleries throughout the United States and continental Europe.
