8” round bowl
Hi Brenda,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
A number of carnival glass makers like Dugan, Fenton and Northwood made wares with peacock decoration - some are marked ("D", "F" or "N" respectively) but others are not. If you find a mark please let me know - I've found other examples of this pattern but none are attributed to a specific maker.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
An antique carnival glass Two Peacocks fruit bowl
unattributed American maker, circa 1910
Of uncolored iridescent glass with fluted rim, the center featuring two peacocks on a fence, with fruited leaf border, presumably unmarked.
8 inches diameter
CONDITION: This bowl appears to be in good condition; value assumes no breaks, repairs or losses.
PROVENANCE: Inherited
$400-600*
