Description

Picasso circus period

Provenance

This painting was found rolled up in the attic of a farmhouse in Spain. It looks to have been cut from the canvas at some point. Which is why I have it in a frame.

Presumably not genuine

Dear Jamison,

Thank you for your help. My sincere apologies for the delay with the appraisal.

The presented object appears to be a painting made in oil paint on canvas with unknown measurements. The painting depicts the portrait of a harlequin in front. The painting appears to be signed with the name Picasso. There are differences with this painting in the depiction of the facial features, the style, and the signature itself to authentic works of Pablo PICASSO (1881-1973).

The named arguments classify this artwork as a forgery or copy after Pablo PICASSO (1881-1973).

With kind regards,

George
