I have a magazine article to send with much information about this collection
My stepfather
Dear Ken,
Thank you for your request. The presented objects are two wood carving made in the middle of the 20th century. One depicts a standing nude woman and the other the profile of a man. Both sculptures were made out of tropical wood and stand in the tradition of Polynesian wood carvings. The depiction of the woman is a copy of a Western motif and shows that these wood carvings were made as a souvenir.
This piece is in good condition and there are no serious damages visible.
An estimation would be between 250 to 500 USD.
This estimation is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
With best regards,
Georg
