What does this mean?

Dear Molly,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. Your figurine appears to made of plaster type of material, which was poured into a mold to be cast and then handpainted with a high gloss glaze. It could of very well been a carnival prize, which would explain the lack of a mark. Most of the time, pieces like this were not marked due to the large quantities that they were produced. While the piece appears to be in very good condition, that does not affect the overall fair market value which was determined by looking at sold comparables on various sites such as eBay. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
