11.25 high x 9.5 wide x 5.0 inch lower base. The base is a marble base. Some edge leaf damage (scrappings), fragile.
Told it was purchased from Italy from a TWA Airline stewardess who is our neighbor. Is this a Capodemonte? No marking seen.
Hi Mike,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
Capodimonte (the factory) was pretty good about marking their wares but there were several porcelain manufactories in Capodimonte (the Italian municipality) that did not so its OK to attribute this to the region rather than the company, if that makes sense
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A vintage porcelain basket of roses
made in Capodimonte, Italy, mid 20th Century
Pink roses in a lobed squat white vase, on a circular footed black Asian style stand
11 1/4 inches high, 9 1/2 inches diameter
CONDITION: minor edge losses
PROVENANCE: purchased in Italy by client's neighbor, a TWA stewardess
$150-300*
