It is a polychrome bas relief decorative vase 14" in height by 10"diameter.
Brought out of China in 1927 by my missionary grandparents
This is a vase from China. The shape form of the vase is 'yuhuchunping' or pear-shape. The color palette with black ground is called 'famille noir". The raised decoration is 'bas-relief' and the figures represented are the Immortals. The impressioned mark phonetically translates to Da Qing Tongzhi Nian Zhi which means Great Qing Dynasty Tongzhi Period Make. The Tongzhi Period was 1856 - 1875. However this was more likely produced in the early 20th century during the Guangxu period (1875-1908) or even later in the mid 20th century. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary.
I hope the new image is adequate.
Please add a clear, in-focus, extreme close-up of just the impressioned mark on the underside.
