Dear Robert,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. My sincere apologies for the delay with the apprisal.
The presented object appears to be a porcelain tureen in the shape of a duck with measurements of 14 x 9 x 15 inches. This piece is decorated in the typical style of the Imari porcelain which was produced in the region of Arita famous for its porcelain production. The glazed porcelain is underglaze painted in blue and red and has overglaze golden decor elements. It was made in the 20th century and especially in the 1920s, Japan exported many different porcelain pieces to Western countries. This piece was probably made in the middle of the 20th century or later.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 100 to 300 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.
With kind regards,
George
