Portuguese small granite table - Maritz
Stands about 45cm x 45cm x 45cm Square, granite top with brass rim.. Brass legs with detailed design. Made in Portugal. We don't know when this was created but we know the family had this since 1960 at least. (might still be older than that.) Brass might need a polish but is in perfect condition. Other tables in the set are: Two small marble tables and one large marble coffee table.

This square sidetable with an attractive brown / white marble top was manufactured by Moucheira-Mármores e Cantarias Lda around 1960, the label reads “Joao, Antonio & Afonso Moucheira (Irmaos Moucheira) , L.da. Pero Pinheiro. MADE IN PORTUGAL. The type of label and the typeface would be typical for this era. This kind of tables is offered once in a while at auction, the combination of cast brass and marble does not meet today´s taste, therefore auction results are not very high. A single table would sell in the price range listed.
