I believe I potentially have a Tiffany stained glass pendant lamp. I am not 100% sure because it does not have a makers mark on it and I am not a lamp expert. I listed it on Facebook marketplace, and I have had several messages inquiring about the piece which tells me that it is potentially very valuable. It is in great shape with just one small area where the soldering has cracked off. The fitter looks to be bronze.
24” in diameter and about 13” tall.
Hi Juliette,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
Tiffany lamp shades are iconic pieces of decorative art, renowned for their vibrant, stained-glass designs. Originally created by Louis Comfort Tiffany in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, these lamps feature hand-cut pieces of colored glass arranged in intricate patterns, often depicting nature-inspired themes like flowers, dragonflies, and landscapes. The shades' rich colors and craftsmanship create a warm, ambient light, making them timeless symbols of Art Nouveau elegance and innovative design.
Tiffany's lamp shades were so popular that they were copied and reproduced on a vast scale and it's not uncommon for those not BY Tiffany to be called Tiffany STYLE.
There were a few Tiffany makers - Louis Comfort Tiffany, Tiffany & Co, Tiffany Studios - and all of these marked their lamps. Sometimes the mark is small but usually on the upper rim and always visible upon close inspection.
I've handled a lot of Tiffany lamp shades in my nearly 30-year career and this doesn't look like an original Tiffany but if you've looked and haven't found one, it's probably a Tiffany STYLE shade.
When Tiffany Style lamps chandeliers are sold at auction, they usually sell between $300-500, depending on size and style.

Hi Juliette,
Sadly, these shades were reproduced in such great volume and by MANY makers that without a maker's mark, signature or label it's all but impossible to know who made it.
Thanks for asking and have a great day!
Delia
Thank you for the appraisal! Do you have an idea as to who might be the maker of this lamp?
