height 5 in, width at top2 3/4 bottom 2in
THIS CAME FROM MY GRANDMOTHERS HOME WHEN SHE DIED, I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT IT (PROBALLY THE ONLY PEICE SHE HAD THAT I NEVER ASK ABOUT.)
Dear Iori,
Thank you for your request and your patience. The apprised object is a ceramic jug with an expressive glaze decor. It has the measuremnts of 5 inches high. Under the bottom, we see the production or model number 5781-1, the stamp Denmark and a blurred triangle stamp mark. This mark leads to the Danish company Michael Andersen & Sons and the ceramic designer Marianne Starck who worked as Art Director for Michael Anderson & sons since 1955. This jug was probably designed under the influence of Marianne Starck because pieces which were designed by her have an MS mark.
This piece is in good condition and there are no serious damages visible.
An estimation would be between 80 to 150 USD.
This estimation is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
With best regards,
Georg
