Sculpture believed to be pre-colombian
unknown
Hi Austin,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
This is in the Pre-Columbian style but was made in the 20th Century as a souvenir for tourists to Mexico and other areas of Central and South America.
I can tell the relative size of this from the photos but if you'd like for your appraisal to include exact dimensions, which is customary, please forward in the comments section - at your convenience - the height, width and depth and I'll update this ASAP.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A vintage Pre-Columbian style carved stone seated figure
probably mid 20th Century
Depicting a seated figure with its elbows on its knees, its hands to its mouth (possibly blowing an instrument); the underside lined
(DIMENSIONS)
CONDITION: minor wear commensurate to age and use
