What does this mean?

Hello Camilla.

This item appears to be a footed vessel in the style of a squash. The shape and motif resembles other Colima examples. However, the cultures, ceramic vessels are usually redware, rather than this blackware. There are some Chimu and Inca examples of squash shaped vessels in blackware but the shape is very different. The estimate is based on Colima examples.
