What does this mean?

Hi again Camilla,

This item appears to be an incensario vessel with an animal to the front, perhaps a deer or a dog. My best approximation of culture would be Colima, based on other examples. Deers were associated with many Pre Columbian cultures with feasting festivals.

As always with these items, dating the item would require in-person examination. The estimate provided is based on recent auction estimates and results of similar figures in similar dimensions. Please note that dealer or private prices may vary. Further, estimates are contingent on condition and authenticity. I am going to stop including this paragraph, moving forward. Please note, that it does apply to most, if not all, of these items. I would like to not be redundant.
